The villagers of Bawdrip had to wait until 1923 for this halt. Consisting of a single concrete platform on the up side of the line, built just one mile down the line from Cossington, to serve the local village of Bawdrip.

There was a small booking office located at the rear of the platform. Like a lot of other remote stations, Bawdrip received its drinking water by rail.
