The line had four snow ploughs for clearing the line over
the Mendip Hills.
Originally built to fit the 0-6-0 Fox Walker saddle tanks, being altered
when these were re-built and altered yet again to fit the new Bagnal
tank loco's. They were later modified to fit other locomotives such as
the Armstrong 4F 0-6-0's.
Two were kept at Bath and two at Highbridge. In later years the two at
Highbridge were mistaken for 'scrap metal', being overgrown and looking
rather sorry at the back of the shed!
